Videos

CISC has produced a series of videos for a broad construction audience. These educational videos will be of interest to designers, contractors, developers and building authorities. In addition, the videos are being used in universities and colleges teaching architecture, structural engineering, building science, and in training programs for steel fabrication personnel. Teaching Aids

A teaching aid, in CISC terms, is a specific 2-story like steel "sculpture" that helps engineer students understand full-scale members and connections. There are over 20 in Canada so far! Each region provides fabrication and steel to the requesting University. Click here for more information and photos.

Steel Building Case Studies

Steel buildings can be very exciting to design and highly challenging to detail. Much can be learned by looking at high quality examples of the architectural use of steel. Images of buildings both completed and under construction can be viewed on this DVD.

Visiting Speakers

CISC offers professors of Architecture and Engineering the opportunity to have qualified professionals visit their institution for a guest lecture on steel construction. Please contact your regional manager or representative for more detail. Programs can be tailored to meet your needs regarding timing and content.

Educator’s Forum

The Educator’s Conference draws educators from leading Canadian universities from across the country, who are treated to two days of engaging presentations, lively discussions and social events. This sets the stage for greater collaboration and sharing of knowledge and resources.
